The Maison d’education of Saint-Denis Post-baccalaureate programs

The Maison d'education of the Legion of Honor of Saint-Denis is home to two post-baccalaureate courses: the Preparatory course for Humanities studies (CPGE) and the BTS (Higher Technician Certificate) in International trade . Students are supervised by long-term teams of teachers, and are freed from all logistical constraints thanks to the open boarding system.

Preparatory course for Humanities studies

Best-in-class tracks, the preparatory course for Humanities studies (CPGE) are two-year preparatory courses in the humanities: a year of hypokhâgne followed by a year of khâgne, which can be repeated under certain conditions. They offer a general humanities education preparing for top-ranking schools, including the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon.

Nearly 70% of our khâgne students go on to a Grande Ecole. The remaining students enter the third year of university.

BTS in International Trade

The Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS) in International Trade is built around general and technical training, advanced language classes and professional practice that's as close to reality as possible, thanks in particular to internships with companies and stays abroad.

100% of our BTS students graduate and continue their studies.

Living and study environment

A school just outside Paris, in bright, modern buildings surrounded by parkland, classes taught by dedicated teachers to small groups, accommodations close to classrooms, a spirit of camaraderie and mutual support among boarders: the post-bac courses at the Maison d’education of Saint-Denis offer the ideal studying and living environment for a tranquil, successful start to higher education.

The post-bac building is modern and bright, with large windows overlooking the grounds of the former abbey of Saint-Denis. It was designed to facilitate students' day-to-day life and easy movement between their classrooms, living rooms and accommodations.

The wooded park surrounding the buildings provides the tranquil setting that students need to concentrate. Playing sports or strolling through the park's avenues offers a refreshing break from studying.

Students have access to the school's Center for Documentation and Information and the Paris VIII University library. They can also take part in the Maison d'education's musical activities —private lessons, choir, orchestra— and have access to the art studio and sports facilities.

Freed from all logistical considerations, the students can focus on their studies. After class, they can be back in just a few minutes in their rooms: double rooms for first-year students and single rooms for second-year students. They have access to the cafeteria all week long.

Students can be absent from the school until 9:30 pm. The center of Paris is readily accessible by metro, which enables them to take advantage of the city's attractions.

On the weekends, they can stay at the boarding school and use the kitchens to prepare their own meals.

Student life Living and studying with fellow students who share the same experience and schedule creates strong bonds, invaluable in the studious atmosphere required by CPGE and BTS courses.
