With its renowned teaching methods, its dedicated staff, its historic setting and convivial boarding facilities, the Maison d’education of Saint-Denis provides all the conditions for a dynamic and studious high school experience.

Instructional structure and teaching

As at the Maison d'education of the Loges, the educational mission of the Maison d'education of Saint-Denis is twofold: to pass on knowledge and to create the environment necessary for teenage schoolgirls to flourish.

Supervised and encouraged by dedicated teaching staff, our boarders benefit from ideal circumstances to pass the baccalaureate exam with confidence and to prepare for the future.

These are precious moments to recharge their batteries and take a break between classes or while preparing for exams.

One week at the Maison d’education of Saint-Denis

The girls have a 6:45am wake-up call, except for Mondays when they wake up at 7:45am.

Only students in their final year get up independently, but they must leave their rooms by 7:30am to go to class.

The schoolgirls have lunch together in the dining room according to their schedule.

They can then enjoy their midday break in the park or in the common rooms.

After classes, all pupils have study periods at the end of the afternoon.

Duration varies according to the grade and the chosen options.

After a shared dinner and study time, the students go to their dormitories at 9pm.

Lights are out at 10pm for tenth- and eleventh-graders, at 10:30pm for twelth-graders.

The students may leave school after class or stay on-site to study or do other activities.

The students leave the boarding school on Saturday midday, after the traditional weekly written test, and return on Sunday evening or Monday morning before classes resume, depending on the parents’ decision at the start of the school year.

Outcomes of the baccalaureate exam
